Lamar Valley Fog captures the quiet, expansive stillness of Yellowstone’s high plains as mist drifts gently through the valley floor. Painted from a moment observed in early autumn, the composition traces the soft movement of fog as it settles along the winding river, dissolving boundaries between land, water, and sky.
Subtle layers of green, gold, and blue build a luminous surface that suggests both distance and intimacy—an unfolding landscape shaped by light rather than line.
